Carapace length :  80cm-1m

All species of sea turtle are of conservation concern

In Queensland, occurs in all coastal waters
south the SEQ. Most significant breeding sites are in the north. Often comes
ashore to nest by day. Only sea turtle to breed exclusively in Australia.
Carnivorous, eating soft bodied invertebrates gathered from sea floor,
jellyfish.
