Tropical Short-tailed Mouse
Small nocturnal rodent, shelters in grass nest in burrow mostly in moist grassland or tropical savannah.
Omnivorous eating seeds, green plant stems and arthropods. Breeds after rain.
Litter size 3 or 4. The individual in the photo was caught by a homestead cat in the Boggie River area.
