Three-clawed Worm-skink (Verreaux’ Skink)

Anomalopus verreauxii


Maximum Snout Vent Length –
185mm

Distributed from ne NSW, through
se Qld, the Briglow Belt and north to around Proserpine. In this region appears
restricted to coast and ranges.

 

An elongate burrowing
species with reduced limbs and only 3 small toes on the front limb. Back limb
is a small clawless stump.
