Size : 22-24cm
Habitat : Found mostly in coastal or subcoastal wetlands, including tidal estuaries, lagoons, grassy swamps, and sewerage ponds.
Feeds on insects, spiders and fish.
Does not breed in Australai but many birds acquire their brreding plumage before departing for Eurasia.
