Maximum Snout Vent Length – 400mm
The subspecies (V. storri storrii ) is endemic to Queensland. Found in rocky range country of the Desert Uplands and Einasleigh Uplands with the pictured individual (photographed in Jul 2017) representing a range extension to near Glenden.
A small ground dwelling goanna with enlarged, blunt, spiny scales on the tail.
