Megalurus cruralis


Found in treeless or near treeless habitats, especially
grasslands. Often perches in open on fence posts and stumps.  Migratory; breeds in southern Australia in
spring and summer moving north or inland in autumn and winter. Movements to
east of range including this region often occur during periods of inland
drought.
