Found in rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest from tropics
to temperate zone: in eucalypt forest mainly along creek lines where mid-storey
vegetation is thick. Seen in pairs or small foraging parties of 3-5 birds. Very
active; gleans invertebrates from bark of tall shrubs , small trees and foliage
of spiralling vines.
