Russet-tailed Thrush

An isolated population of this species occurs in the Clarke
Range. Mostly in rainforest; rather timid, keeping to cover; Distinctive stop-
start foraging ; stands still watching and listening  before running or hopping to jab bill into
litter or soil to collect invertebrates, especially  worms.
