Maximum Snout Vent Length : 44mm

 

A Queensland endemic species. Occurs in dry forests and
rocky areas in eastern interior, reaching coast and islands between about
Mackay and Townsville and extending north to Cairns.

Most skink lizards can shed their tail to escape predators and will gradually regrow a new tail afterwards. The individual depicted is undergoing this process.
