Sociable, noisy and acrobatic. Bright red beck, blue head, lime-green half-collar, breast are red/yellow, has a blue abdomen and the underwing converts red; yellow underwing bar.
Abundant and common. Nomadic. Size: 30cm.
Juvenile: Duller; bill brown.
Voice: Strong ‘screet screet’.
Habitat: Rainforest, open forest, woodland, healthy gardens and urban parks.
