Maximum Total length – 800mm   Potentially Dangerous

Found in the coastal ranges and inland areas (Brigalow Belt) of Qld and in ne NSW. In this region it is restricted to the dry sclerophyll forests and woodlands on the western side of the Ranges.

A nocturnal, arboreal elapid with a liking for rough barked trees on which it hunts for geckos, frogs and small mammals. Finds refuge in hollows, under bark and deep inside hollowed out tree trunks. Will strike repeatedly if provoked.
