Microbat – Dusky Leaf-nosed Bat
Hipposideros ater
Found across tropical northern Australia from nw WA to central Qld coast. Roosts by day in caves, sometimes in tree hollows. Individuals hang separately from roof. Forages for small flying insects in dense forest suggest as rainforest and mangroves but also eucalypt woodland.
