Low’s Pygmy Skink

Endemic to eastern Queensland and among the smallest lizards in Australia. A swift secretive skink that forages amongst leaf litter in closed semi-evergreen vine thickets and open woodland, and seldom ventures into open areas. Breeding males can develop a reddish-orange flush on tail.
