Tiny, stumpy-tailed waterside kingfisher. Occurs in well
vegetated wetlands of the tropics; mainly in the lowlands, also in rainforest
and gallery forest. A true kingfisher, perching above water and plunge-diving
headfirst for fish and other swimming prey. Easily overlooked.
