Dull, plain, medium sized honeyeater of tropical Australia.
Current southernmost limit of range is in between Proserpine and Mackay.
Inhabits dense waterside forest, rainforest patches, mangroves and gardens.
Usually in pairs or small parties. Gleans insects and exudates from bark, limbs
and foliage; also eats nectar and fruit.
