Greater Glider
Petauroides volans
An arboreal, nocturnal inhabitant of wet and damp sclerophyll forests of eastern Australia. The Greater Glider (Petauroides volans) is Australia’s largest gliding marsupial, roughly the size of a cat. It comes in two colour forms – dark brown and grey/white. It can glide for over 100m in eucalypt forests where it eats only eucalypt leaves and buds.
