Small active fantail of eastern Australia. Typically
inhabits moist, shaded understorey in wetter eucalypt forest and rainforest.
Almost constantly in motion, moving along branches and up trunks with short
flitting hops. Strongly migratory, populations moving northwards in winter and
being mostly absent from se Australia from Mar-Apr to Sep-Oct.
