Falcon, Peregrine
Falco peregrinus
Powerful aerial hunter, swoops on flying birds from above or
behind. Inhabits most environments with suitable nest sites: cliff faces
preferred including man-made ones but can also use stick nests built by other
species. Eats mostly birds, particularly parrots, pigeons, waterfowl and small
seabirds.
