Egret, Little
Egretta garzetta
Found in a variety of wetlands, usually with open water from
around 10-15cm deep.. Often found in saline wetlands, such as tidal flats, saltmarsh
or mangrove-lined estuaries and lagoons and beaches. Nest colonially, often in
mixed heronries ; usually in trees over water.
