Common across eastern Australia, inland to the SA
border. Prefers open grassy woodlands. A
large gregarious kangaroo that forms large mobs where food is abundant. Can issue
a loud defensive cough and an aggressive growl when disturbed. Alarm also
communicated by foot stamp, both feet striking in quick succession.
