Uses a wide range of wooded habitats, mainly in canopy or
dense understory: also occurs in drier more open woodlands and forests,
especially in northern Australia. Species which are parasitised include the cup
building species Grey Fantail, Leaden Flycatcher
and Bar-breasted Honeyeater.
