Crowned Snake, Northern Dwarf

Cacophis churchilli


Toatal Length – 450mm

Endemic to north-eastern coast of Queensland. Populations in this area represent the most southerly extent of its range.

One of four species of Crowned Snake present in this region. All are small, nocturnal, venomous font fanged snakes that feed on lizards and frogs. Found in damp areas within forests and rock outcrops.
