Button-quail, Red backed

A tiny button-quail of dense grasslends.

Found in grasslands, grassy woodlands and crops of tropical and warm temperate Australia, especially in tussock grasses of black soil plains and rank grasslands near wetlands and waterways. Locally common but secretive.
