Habitat – Drier open woodlands and croplands, farmlands and pastoral areas. An “increaser”  species in the rural landscape. Noted for its flute like, mellow song.  A hunter of smaller birds which it hunts in pairs and known to cooperate with the Australian Hobby in chasing birds. Frequents picinic areas and roadside stops looking for a free meal.
