Burton’s Legless Lizard

Maximum Snout Vent Length : 290mm

Common and widespread throughout most of mainland Australia, preferring drier habitats. Diurnal and nocturnal. Feeds exclusively on reptiles, mainly lizards. These are seized by ambush and grasped across the chest until suffocated.
