Brown Tree Snake

Found across tropical Australia and down the east coast to Sydney.
A large, nocturnal tree snake with a relatively large head and narrow neck. It often lives around houses and sheds and can be encountered in gardens at night. Sometimes called a Doll’s Eyed Snake due to its large eyes.
It is rear-fanged and will strike when threatened. Its venom is weak and this snake is not normally considered dangerous.
