Australian Reed Warbler

Acrocephalus australis


Common in dense low vegetation , especially reeds and rushes. Can be hard to see in dense habitat but noisy in breeding season singing through day and often during the night.  Found in fresh and saline wetlands, riverine fringes, ponds, dams and irregation channels. Also rank crops.
