Rusty pittosporum

A medium sized tree, 8-20m in height, with yellow brown, pustular bark. New shoots, leaves and inflorescences ferrugineously tomentose but rapidly glabrescent.

Habitat: Coastal dune, gallery (riverine or riparian) forest, open forest, woodland.
Distribution Queensland, New Guinea.

Origin: Australia, New Guinea.
Notes: Requires well drained soil, ample watering and a shady position. Propagate from fresh seed or cuttings.
