Oval, smooth, thick, leathery, crowded, glossy dark green above, paler beneath, mid-rib prominent, tip pointed, 5-14 x 2.5-6cm.

Habitat: Rainforest, vine thickets.
Distribution Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, New Guinea, Malesia, Asia.

Notes: A hardy, compact tree ideal for shade or street planting. Grows well on coastal dunes and would be useful for beach stabilisation. Propagate from fresh seed.
