Flower description: Cream green, cream, yellow green or occasionally red flowers, borne on dense cylindrical spikes, 4-10 x 3-3.5cm, carried in groups of one to four. April to September.

Fruit description: Brown, woody, cup shaped capsules, 0.2-0.3 x 0.2-0.3cm.
Habitat: Open forest, woodland.
Distribution Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, New Guinea.

Origin: Australia, New Guinea.
Notes: A widespread species which should tolerate a wide range of soils and conditions. Propagate from seed.
