Herbacious plant, multistemmed, hairy and sometimes has a trailing form. Grows up to 2m across.

Flower description: Most commonly occuring colour is watermelon pink but can also be yellow or white.

Fruit colour: Black-grey
Fruit: Dry
Fruit description: Dry hairy, woody capsule containing many small black seeds.
Habitat: Woodland/ open forest
Distribution Northern Australia and East Coast of Queensland.
