Grass lily

Murdannia graminea, Fam. Commelinaceae


Grass like herb up to 60cm tall but often much shorter, often with more or less tuberous roots. graminea from the Latin ‘gramen’ grass.

Notes: The tuberous roots, although bland and fibrous, are edible raw.
