Giant palm lily

Palm or palm like, shrub to 4m. Cordyline from the Greek ‘kordyle’ club, referring to the club-like roots of some species.

Simple, entire, crowded at the ends of branches and the top of stem, 35-65 x 6-12cm. Petiole grooved on the upper side, 12-30cm long.

Flower description: Panicles up to 25cm, scape up to 35cm long, flowers white or cream and bisexual. February to July.

Habitat: Gallery (riverine or riparian) forest, rainforest.
