Brown hatpins

Fimbristylis tetragona, Fam. Cyperaceae


Rhizomatous, tufted perennial or annual sedge, 10-90cm high, with light bluish green culms (stems) are smooth, four sided and occur in dense clumps. tetragona from the Greek ‘tetra’ four and ‘gona’ angled, referring to the four sided culms.
